New York, 2015 novelties and "Wasteless 2.0" exhibition
New York, May 2015 - During the New York design week the Poltrona Frau showroom in Wooster Street in Soho, has exposed the 2015 new products and hosted the award ceremony of the students of the Parsons School in New York who developed the project "WASTELESS 2.0".
High participation for the inaugural event which was attended by numerous people from the New York design world.
"WASTELESS 2.0" is the result of collaboration, for the fourth consecutive year, with the students from The New School’s Parsons School of Design. The focus given to students is to” convert Pelle Frau® leather scraps into luxury accessories to maximize the potential of the material and emphasize Poltrona Frau’s Zero-Waste Design initiatives.
During the summer the winners will spend a week in the Poltrona Frau factory in Tolentino, where they will have the chance to work with master craftsmen, further prototype their designs and see first-hand the company's production.
This collaboration is representative of Poltrona Frau’s commitment to educating younger generations on the value of handcrafted goods and our commitment to incorporating our longstanding heritage with our modern Zero-Waste Design initiatives.
