Poltrona Frau and Maserati performed in Berlin with “Making Masterpieces”
“Making Masterpieces”. A wonderful way of showing the masterpieces of Italian excellence and the high-level craftsmanship that distinguish Poltrona Frau and Maserati, ambassadors of timeless Italian style.
This exciting dual performance has taken place on 21 April in Berlin, at the Poltrona Frau im Stilwerk showroom at number 17 Kantstrasse. Two expert craftsmen from Poltrona Frau have given a live demonstration of production stages characteristic of the residential and automotive sectors.
In one of the two workstations set up in the showroom windows, a master artisan has upholstered an iconic Poltrona Frau piece, the Chester armchair designed by Renzo Frau in 1912, the year the company was founded. This very complicated traditional process is the expression of the remarkable dexterity that accompanies every single gesture.
The second workstation has featured processes linked to the world of cars, Maserati in particular, for which Poltrona Frau upholsters the leather interiors of the Quattroporte and the Ghibli. The confident, accurate manual skills of this craftsman has demonstrated the attention and precision required when upholstering the front seat of a Ghibli.
