Cavour

Designed in 1959 but only part of the Poltrona Frau catalogue since the late 80’s, the Cavour armchair is part of a family that included other models. Vittorio Gregotti, Lodovico Meneghetti and Giotto Stoppino, at the time known as “Architetti Associati”, wanted to create furniture that restored the values of domesticity and emotion.

The Cavour pouf, which accompanies the armchair, was developed recently on the basis of a prototype created at the time.
The Cavour armchair has a structure composed of curved  Canaletto walnut or curved beechwood with lacquered glossy black polyester finish. The backrest and seat shell is in beech with polyurethane foam padding upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather and refined with tone-on-tone trim. The pouf has a birch plywood structure with padding in moulded polyurethane foam and polyester wadding; Pelle Frau® leather upholstery.
