Poltrona Frau showroom in Tokyo has presented ‘Design comes Home’, a curated installation by Japanese designer Kensaku Oshiro

On 28th November, Poltrona Frau together with designer Kensaku Oshiro, have presented a curated exhibition featuring his products Lepli stool and Arabesque armchair.

The newly opened showroom has hosted an event and talk between Nicola Coropulis, General Manager of Poltrona Fray, Kensaku Oshiro and Ryuko Kida, Editor-in-chief of Elle Décor Japan.

Kensaku has designed a minimalistic installation which featured a group of Lepli stools upholstered in bright orange, yellow and green leather with the intention of representing the autumn’s colours.

On the opposite side of the showroom, visitors admired the new Arabesque armchair, whose lines recall the same natural tension of a dancer's body.

Kensaku has drawn inspiration from traditional Poltrona Frau production processes and decorations, combining them with tailoring ideas from the fashion world.   Classic stitching and soft folds enhance the sinuous minimalism of the design.
