Tabarin

The Tabarin armchair is a faithful reproduction of the 900 A model, the living room set introduced to the Poltrona Frau catalogue by Renzo Frau in the late 1930's. Tabarin reflects the passion for overseas atmospheres that reigned in those years, particularly in the furnishing of the great transatlantic liners.

The Tabarin armchair has a welcoming seat and the streamlined contours of the backrest and armrests have an American feel. The supporting structure is in seasoned beechwood and the seat, backrest and armrest spring system consists of hand-tied steel biconical springs on jute belts. The feet are available in beech with a dark walnut stain. The upholstery is in Pelle Frau® leather. The stitching is enriched with a leather trim or, on request, consists of a felled seam with contrast thread. A row of leather-covered pins refines the back. Each Tabarin is numbered.
