Flying has always been a captivating experience, a journey that takes us far away to new horizons and unexplored adventures. Each takeoff marks the beginning of a story, an opportunity to discover the world from a unique perspective, suspended between sky and earth. In this context, comfort and elegance play a fundamental role, transforming a simple flight into an unforgettable experience.

Poltrona Frau has recently collaborated with BeOnd Airlines to create something truly special. As the world's first airline to offer a premium leisure service, BeOnd Airlines has launched a new route connecting Milan-Malpensa to Malé, Maldives. This bi-weekly service promises unparalleled luxury and comfort to the most discerning travelers.

BeOnd Airlines selected Poltrona Frau's Interiors in Motion Business Unit to upholster the seats of its Airbus A319, distinguished by an anthracite and copper livery. These seats, designed by Optimares, are hand-upholstered with white Pelle Frau® leather by master craftsmen in Tolentino. The leather's quality and meticulous attention to detail are evident in every stitch, ensuring an exceptional flight experience.

The Interiors in Motion Business Unit played a crucial role in selecting colors, finishes, and in the construction and stitching system of the seat covers. The creative work on the backrest not only has aesthetic value but also provides significantly enhanced physical and perceived comfort compared to a standard aircraft seat, thanks to a special quilting system. The color and finish themes used for the interiors reflect the aircraft fuselage, fully respecting the value and tradition of Poltrona Frau seating. The seats seamlessly integrate with the contrast between the dark flooring and the light finishes of the walls and ceiling, creating a harmonious balance between filled and empty spaces.

Over the years, Poltrona Frau has collaborated with prestigious airlines such as Singapore Airlines and Etihad Airways, providing upholstery for first-class and business-class seats. In recent years, the company's ability to translate 112 years of craftsmanship into the aviation, luxury automotive, and marine industries has further expanded its reach. The recent acquisition of the British company KJ Ryan, focused on developing and producing high-end interior components for luxury cars, is another example of this growth.
