Jean-Marie Massaud

1966年にトゥールーズ（フランス）で生まれたジャン・マリー・マッソーは、1990年にパリのENSCI(国立高等工業デザイン学院）を卒業しました。アジアとフランスでキャリアをスタートし、1994年に自らのオフィスをパリに開設しました。以来、工業デザインと家具のデザインに力を注ぎ、Authentic、Baccarat、Magis等の有名企業と仕事をしてきました。マッソーは、マーク・ベルチェとのコラボレーションや都市計画分野での活動によって、デザインと建築の融合に関心を持つようになりました。そのデザイン活動は、工業製品から家具まで幅広い分野に及びます。本質的なものを追求するアプローチをとりながら、その関心の中心にあるのはあくまで「個人」であり、感覚、魅惑、生きた感情を探究する作風によって、Cassina、Poltrone Frau、Cappellini、Cacharel、Lancôme、Tronconi、Yamaha Offshoreなど、さまざまな企業と提携しています。 マッソーは数々の受賞歴を誇り、そのデザイン作品は、アムステルダム、シカゴ、ロンドン、パリ、チューリッヒなど世界の名だたる美術館・博物館のデザイン・コレクションに収蔵されています（パリ国立近代美術館、チューリッヒ・デザイン美術館、シカゴ・アセニアム、アムステルダム市立美術館、パリ装飾美術館）。
