Outdoor fabrics collection

The fabrics, more than a choice of colour, tell of a chromatic experience that takes on consistency in textures that are tactile and soft to the touch, reminiscent of indoor upholstery. An assortment that is a versatile kaleidoscope that is easily understood by architects and end customers alike.
They are made of acrylic or polypropylene yarns to cover the decorative and upholstered cushions of the collections. Some of the decors were developed together with Loro Piana Interiors.
Fabrics are an added value of Poltrona Frau's outdoor collections, not only because of the possibility of combining solid colours and decorative patterns, but also because of their technical characteristics: they are mould-resistant, stain-resistant, breathable, resistant to wear and tear and atmospheric agents and designed to maintain their colour over time.
The fabric collection comprises seven different types of yarn in the Shoreline, Ocean Waves, Above Sunset and Scent of Green colour families.

The Collections

Each collection represents a different world: for the chromatic offer, for the hand, for the touch, and the aesthetic value.

GRAIN

Grain, a polypropylene fabric with a micro-pattern where the white thread in the warp is crossed in the weft with a coloured thread to recreate the effect of a grain of rice (available in four colours)

MARINE

Marine is a vertically striped acrylic fabric with a ribbed structure and in four colours

MESH

Mesh is a three-dimensional polypropylene fabric reminiscent of knitting and available in three colours.

PANAMA

Panama is two-coloured 100% acrylic, presented in four colours, with panama weaves and characterised by a soft feel.

SAIL

Sail is a 100% acrylic faux-uni canvas fabric, inspired by yacht sails and available in seven colours.

ROMBETTO

Rombetto, in 100% polypropylene and developed by Loro Piana Interiors exclusively for Poltrona Frau, features a polygonal jacquard pattern reminiscent of fishing nets, but also male tailoring. Available in six colours.

UNITO

Unito is a monochrome polypropylene fabric, developed with Loro Piana Interiors, with a characteristic weave of canneté - with raised vertical stripes - and available in four colours.
