Piqué is a patterned, soft and fresh fabric, traditionally white or in light colours. The heavier version of the fabric is used for upholstery and bed linen while the lighter version, extremely fresh, is used for summer clothing and in particular polo shirts, jackets and items for children. It is a robust and three-dimensional fabric that is reinterpreted with a new design that forms little diamonds and recalls the weaves and quilting used on leather. The slightly glossy surface is created by the use of linen together with cotton. The two colours created for this article, pearl and ebony, are particularly refined and exalt the sequence of solids and voids that give dynamism to the surface.
