Nouveau

To give the fabric a more graphic feel two different dark colours were contrasted with an ecru white colour: a dark blue and a warm graphite. Nouveau is made with next-generation jacquard looms, making it particularly robust and permitting double-faced weaving.

This fabric is inspired by the floral and geometric designs of Art Nouveau, a classic and timeless decoration given a modern twist by Poltrona Frau. To give the fabric a more graphic feel two different dark colours were contrasted with an ecru white colour: a dark blue and a warm graphite. Nouveau is made with next-generation jacquard looms, making it particularly robust and permitting double-faced weaving. The design can be positive on one side or negative on the opposite side. The foliage design creates a composite decorative motif, a genuine chevron geometric texture. The graphic effect is pleasant and elegant thanks to the use of viscose, which makes the surface smooth and slightly shiny. The base structure is in cotton and linen, to create a robust article that is resistant to wear and tear and also suitable for covering classic products nailed to wooden frames. Nouveau has excellent technical and resistance properties as regards both wear and tear and the light.
