Poltrona Frau at the Orgatec fair of Cologne

Cologne, 21 October 2014 – After many years' absence, Poltrona Frau returns to Orgatec with a complete collection of management-level office furnishings.
The stand is designed by Dordoni Architetti to look like a contemporary architectural office. The external “skin” is formed from natural lime-coloured silicocalcareous slabs with openings that become the windows in a façade. Hollows and solids alternate to create a transparency effect and a dialogue between the outside and inside.
Desks, cabinets, bookcases and meeting tables from the Jobs collection designed by Rodolfo Dordoni on show for the first time at Orgatec. The lines are the epitome of formal rigour. High functionality and customization, sophisticated materials
The desk chairs include Downtown, the latest creation from Jean-Marie Massaud
And then there is the new Assaya armchair, designed by Satyendra Pakhalé for the design contest launched by Poltrona Frau to mark its centenary in 2012 and presented for the very first time on the international scene at Orgatec. It epitomises a growing trend that blurs the lines between home and office, where the focus is on comfort and functionality.
