NERI & HU DESIGN "THE UNFOLDING VILLAGE", A SPECIAL INSTALLATION FOR THE STOCKHOLM FURNITURE & LIGHT FAIR 2019.
The guests of honor of this year's Stockholm fair, the designers Neri&Hu, have created a village made of Swedish fir wood to raise awareness on an important issue and very dear to them, such as the disappearance of the culture of small traditional Chinese village. The layout of the pavilion is inspired by the alleys and street life, while the ceiling is inspired by the roofs of houses that follow one another along a street. The designer products - furniture, lighting and accessories - such as Ren, Zhuang and Xi, were the protagonists inside the installation, where together with the local timber coming from Sweden, they brought visitors back in time.
