Roberto Lazzeroni

The DUO cabinet is available as high credenza and low credenza. The frame is solid ash wood stained in various finishes, while the storage unit has natural walnut, inlaid natural walnut or ebony finish. The interior is finished in maple. The handles are painted metal with a shaded bronze finish. The top is available in marble, back-painted glass or ash veneer of the same finish chosen for the frame. The feet have adjustable levelers to ensure stability on any surface. The DUO high cabinet has interior drawers with leather-covered bottoms (upon request), dividers and trays. The low sideboard has a central compartment consisting of a basket that can hold a drawer and, upon request, can be accessorized with a bottle holder. The DUO Cabinet, both high and low, can come with a LED light that turns on when the doors are opened for greater visibility of the objects inside.

Concept and Design

Poltrona Frau and Ceccotti Collezioni co-sign the DUO Collection, expressing their synergy in a shared design vision. Inspired by the Italian-style Dolce Vita, the products of the collection include luxury upholstered furniture with rounded shapes and exquisite wooden furniture for the living room. All designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, the objects encapsulate the savoir faire of the two Made in Italy excellences in the name of romanticism and timeless charm. The objects, with their retro flair, speak of the past and the present, of memory and of innovation.

Roberto Lazzeroni was born in Pisa. He studied art and architecture in Florence, taking an increasing personal interest in the phenomena of conceptual art and radical design during his years of training.He débuted professionally in the early 1980s with a series of important 'Interior Architecture' works that were immediately noticed and published by both Italian and international magazines. Roberto Lazzeroni has enjoyed an extremely dynamic professional journey that today sees him involved in various projects, and able to boast prestigious collaborations, art direction and interior and contract design in various parts of the world.
Awards include: Tecniques Discretes (Paris, 1991), Conran Foundation Museum, (London, 1992), Elegant Techniques, (Chicago, 1992), La Fabbrica Estetica, (Paris, 1993), Dall'Albergo alla Nave, (Genoa, 1993), Costruire il mobile, (Milan 1999).
