A particularly interesting tactile and visual effect characterizes Pelle Frau® Motif Knits, a covering created thanks to an innovative 3D printing technique that simulates a raised weave pattern ("twill") also used in fabric printing and evokes the world of wicker and basketry.

Pelle Frau® Motif Knits

Pelle Frau® Motif Knits is created through a sophisticated hot embossing process applied to Pelle Frau® ColorSphere®, which undergoes an intermediate softening treatment that modifies its hand, making it soft and velvety to the touch. The pattern originates from a 3D print that simulates a raised weave inspired by textile twill and the world of wicker and basketry, giving the surface both visual and tactile three-dimensionality. The leather feels soft and velvety, with a delicate writing effect and a rounded, enveloping hand. The shades, in neutral and warm tones, enhance the depth of the design and the natural character of the material.

Care and maintenance

• Like all natural leathers, Pelle Frau® Motif Knits may undergo color variations over time and, under certain conditions of use, slight color release may occur. 

 

• It is not suitable for exposure to direct light or heat sources. Any accidental stains are difficult to remove. 

 

• Under specific conditions, the leather may absorb substances such as sweat or grease; the patina that may develop over time represents a distinctive feature and a guarantee of the product’s uniqueness. 

 

• It is recommended to regularly remove dust using a soft brush with natural bristles. 

 

• Avoid using alcohol, solvents, or generic household cleaning agents, including commonly available leather care products. 

 

• For proper maintenance, only the Elisir di Lunga Vita kit distributed by Poltrona Frau may be used.
