Designed by Lella and Massimo Vignelli with David Law, Onda Airport is a seating system specifically designed and developed for airport waiting areas. The needs and requirements of today’s travellers have changed considerably. The Onda Airport seat meets the needs of those looking for a comfortable, functional and elegant design.
Specifications
The Onda Airport seating system stands out for its solidity, easy maintenance and ergonomics. The supporting structure of the seat and beams is made from steel sheet while the armrests and feet are in aluminium, with everything coated in epoxy powder paint. The seat is attached to the horizontal bar with steel supports. The seat and backrest are separate and anatomically moulded. To enhance comfort they can be produced from a special polyurethane foam material that guarantees excellent support. The seats can be customised with Pelle Frau® leather or saddle leather upholstery with a hand-painted finish around the edges.

Lella and Massimo Vignelli
Lella Vignelli was born in Udine and graduated in architecture in Venice. Massimo Vignelli was born in Milan in 1931 and studied architecture in Milan and Venice. Their work includes graphic design, corporate image work for industry, signs and industrial design; they design furniture, interiors and exhibition installations. Originally based in Milan and since 1965 in New York, the studio works with some of the most important american and European companies and institutions.
