Poltrona Frau for the Costa Toscana cruise ship

02 February 2022

The collaboration between Poltrona Frau and Costa Crociere takes another step forward. After an initial experience providing furnishings and fittings for the Costa Smeralda ship, the newborn Costa Toscana represents the first structured collaboration between the sailing company and the Custom Interiors division of Poltrona Frau. The strategic choice by Costa Crociere aims to establish a single partner providing furnishings, but also to benefit from their assistance in implementing a coherent style that’s both elegant and appealing throughout the cruise ship’s public areas.

The Brand’s contract division participated on multiple levels in the development of these public spaces.

In the Colosseum Auditorium, with a seating system designed beginning from the client’s brief, and in the Theatre, with 700 custom reclining armchairs, Poltrona Frau provided its extensive expertise, already on display in important projects like the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome and the Oslo Opera House. It’s this expertise that translates into the ability to interpret and give form to the wishes of designers and the particulars of a single project with materialistic details and unparalleled manufacturing quality.

The Poltrona Frau Custom Interiors division has also provided furnishings for the bar and restaurant, including some of its iconic products, like the Archibald dining chairs, the Beatrice and Donald chairs and Ginger Ale armchair, as well as the Fitzgerald and Louise chairs, Leplì poufs, Letizia armchairs and Montera high stools.
