Let it Be est un système d’ameublement modulaire, ouvert à des configurations infinies. Les canapés modulables peuvent être complétés par des étagères et des meubles de rangement qui élargissent leurs fonctions. La structure et les coussins moelleux en plumes semblent suspendus sur des bandes de cuir. Le pied, en retrait inattendu par rapport au coin, renforce la sensation que les assises flottent dans l’espace. La pureté du design se mêle aux détails précieux. Les coutures apparentes du cuir et du cuir sellerie évoquent le travail luxueux de sellerie et bourrellerie.

Revêtement de la structure et des coussins en cuir Pelle Frau®, également combiné avec du tissu. Le cuir sellerie peut également être combiné avec du cuir Pelle Frau® ou du tissu. Les étagères et les dessus d’accoudoir ou de dossier sont enveloppés de cuir sellerie. Châssis en aluminium étiré avec éléments de jonction en acier peint en noir. La structure du dossier et des accoudoirs, rembourrés en mousse de polyuréthane et ouate de polyester, est en peuplier massif et multiplis de bouleau. La suspension de l’assise est obtenue avec des sangles élastiques tressées. Coussin d’assise rembourré de plumes d’oie et ouate de polyester. Pieds en aluminium moulés en deux hauteurs, avec finition ruthénium ou grenaillé bruni.

Conception et design

Inspiré d’un célèbre morceau des Beatles, le canapé Let it Be exprime, rien que par son nom, sa philosophie décontractée et accueillante, loin de tout formalisme ou convention. Le projet de Ludovica et Roberto Palomba reprend et adapte également l’ancienne idée du triclinium romain, où l’on s’allongeait, mangeait, faisait conversation et paressait. Cette liberté d’utilisation est précisément le principe fondamental d’un canapé conçu comme un refuge ménager équipé, un espace polyvalent où vivre selon ses propres rythmes.
