Poltrona Frau strengthens its dialogue with contemporary art and, following the presentation of the Archibald Delicate Balance Limited Edition created in collaboration with Shepard Fairey, becomes a sponsor of “Third Eye Open Peace”, the monumental mural created by the artist in the Ponticelli district of Naples.

Located at Via Carlo Miranda 15, the mural is promoted by Wunderkammern, the contemporary art gallery that is part of Deodato Group, with the support of the City of Naples and coordinated by Arteteca / INWARD National Observatory on Urban Creativity.

With “Third Eye Open Peace,” Shepard Fairey interprets peace as an active choice and a shared responsibility. The work transforms a public housing building into a new artistic landmark for the city, capable of inspiring reflection, beauty, and participation. In a global context marked by tensions and social fragility, the mural presents peace not as a passive condition, but as a conscious, collective, and everyday practice.

At the center of the composition is a frontal female figure, the same featured on the backrest of the Archibald Delicate Balance armchair, framed by floral elements and symbolic rays. The word “PEACE” dominates the image, while the third eye, integrated with the peace symbol, evokes awareness, openness, and the search for balance between the individual and collective dimensions.

Poltrona Frau’s support represents the natural evolution of its collaboration with Shepard Fairey, which began during Milan Design Week 2026 with the reinterpretation of the Archibald armchair. The initiative is connected to the artist’s presence in Naples for the exhibition “OBEY: Power to the Peaceful,” inaugurated on May 5 at Gallerie d’Italia and curated by Giuseppe Pizzuto.

In this context, the dialogue between Poltrona Frau and Shepard Fairey found a further moment of exchange at the Poltrona Frau store in Naples, during an event featuring Nicola Coropulis, the company’s CEO, and Shepard Fairey. The event explored the origins of the collaboration and the reinterpretation process behind the Archibald armchair, connecting the brand’s artisanal heritage and strong legacy with the visual research of one of the leading figures in the international urban art scene.
