Poltrona Frau presents Dune Diwan, a new modular seating system designed to be a bridge between two distinct cultures. Created in collaboration with UNS (United Network Studio) and designed by Ben van Berkel / UNS, this innovative project brings the tradition of Middle Eastern Majilis into a modern context, creating a welcoming and ideal environment for any type of gathering. 

The idea behind Dune Diwan is to create a space dedicated to community, dialogue and listening. Poltrona Frau reinterprets the Middle Eastern Majilis, traditional rooms for meetings and conversations, in a contemporary way, offering a collection of seats that range from low and wide positions, typical of nomadic culture, to more western-style seating. Each element of Dune Diwan is designed to be modular, adaptable to various spaces, and capable of creating convivial and relaxed environments that encourage dialogue and sharing.

The collection includes asymmetrical seats that can be freely combined to form dynamic and unique configurations. Available in eight padded modules, Dune Diwan can be upholstered in Pelle Frau^® leather or completely removable fabric. Additionally, the system is enriched with exclusive complements such as tables, cushions, trays, incense burners, vases and rugs that perfectly combine with the natural tones of the design, inspired by dunes and earth.

The result is an oasis of comfort and beauty, a place where the meeting of diverse cultures creates space for moments of relaxation, sharing and discovery. With Dune Diwan, Poltrona Frau continues to offer elegant and modern solutions, designed to meet the needs of a clientele increasingly attentive to both design and functionality.
