Designed by Renzo Piano for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, the RP02 chair is actually suitable for all kinds of venue. Narrow but comfortable, it guarantees perfect seating.
Specifications: The supporting structure of the seat and backrest of the RP02 is made from wood.
Sides in veneered wood with armrests in visible solid wood. Padding in fire-resistant non-deforming polyurethane. The seat spring system consists of elastic belts. Automatic tip-up seat with joints in noise-damping nylon, underseat protection with acoustic wooden panel and wooden backrest cover. On request the RP02 can be fitted with a writing table. Upholstery in Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System, fabric or velvet, produced with invisible riveting. Padded and upholstered armrests may be fitted on request. Installed in rows by means of a metal cylinder, with air diffusion function on request, and finished with scratchproof and shock-resistant epoxy powder paint.
Renzo Piano, from Genoa, Italy, is the recipient of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, AIA Gold Medal, Kyoto Prize and the Sonning Prize.
