Touch Collection debuts at Maison & Objet 2026

19 January 2026

Poltrona Frau presents the new Touch Collection, designed by Jean Nouvel, at Maison & Objet Paris 2026—a project that reaffirms the central role of touch in design, blending French heritage with Italian savoir-faire.

At Maison & Objet 2026, one of the most important international trade shows for luxury design and furnishings, Poltrona Frau unveiled the new Touch Collection, designed by Jean Nouvel. The presentation took place in Paris, a city deeply connected to the designer’s cultural and architectural vision, confirming an iconic collaboration that has defined several key milestones in the brand’s Custom Interiors Business Unit.

Originally conceived in the late 1990s and introduced in the early 2000s for the hospitality sector, the Touch Collection was born as a poetic response to traditional interior design. The project offers a new vision of luxury: spaces of intimacy, desire, and sensory storytelling.

For this edition of the fair, Poltrona Frau presents a modern reinterpretation of the original concept, focusing once again on designer seating. The chair and armchair form the core of the collection, now expanded with the introduction of an original chaise longue, which officially becomes part of the Poltrona Frau catalog.

The collection reflects a precise design philosophy: to go beyond the supremacy of visual aesthetics and return the focus to the tactile experience. Leather—smooth, taut, and enveloping—becomes the medium for creating a direct and authentic connection between body and material. The essential forms, free from edges and visible stitching, create a fluid and cohesive language designed to provide comfort and invite touch.

Over the years, Touch has established itself as a timeless collection, able to adapt to diverse contexts while preserving its original expressive strength.

The Touch Collection is available at the Poltrona Frau flagship store in Paris, located at 29 Rue du Bac. A unique opportunity to discover a visionary project that continues to embody a deep connection between architecture, design, and materiality.
