Poltrona Frau celebrates the sixtieth anniversary of the historic Dezza armchair, designed by Gio Ponti, with a valuable limited edition of only 60 numbered pieces.

The Dezza armchair occupies a special place in the history of Poltrona Frau: designed by Gio Ponti in 1965, it was the first product to represent the new direction of the brand, which had moved to Tolentino in 1962. The typically modernist, squared lines of the seat and the elegant, curved armrests that follow the entire profile of the armchair to the feet make Dezza one of the most beloved armchairs by Poltrona Frau.

This year, on the occasion of its sixtieth anniversary, it is being reissued in a precious limited edition, characterized by a Pelle Frau^® Impact Less leather upholstery in Panna and Iris colors, and by an unpublished design by Ponti himself, which makes this armchair even more unique and precious: a delightful motif of 26 stylized hands, each with its own name and characteristics.

Thus, we have “the gloved hand,” “the starry hand,” “the pierced hand,” “the fortune teller’s hand”, and so on. A sophisticated yet playful design that evokes the craftsmanship and “intelligence of the hands” with which the armchair itself is made, one of the core values of the Poltrona Frau brand.

Each piece, individually numbered and identified with a metal tag on the back, is accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity.

Dezza 60^th Anniversary Limited Edition will be available for purchase from February 13, 2025, exclusively online on the Poltrona Frau e-shop in the main European markets. From April 1^st, 2025, it will be available in selected stores worldwide.
