Herzog & De Meuron

The BCN armchair, designed by Herzog & De Meuron for the Barcelona Forum of 2004, is distinctive for its solid geometrical volumes, emphasised by the visible stitching, and for its compact design which conceals the seating surface.

Specifications

The BCN armchair has a metal frame. The padding is in non-deforming foamed polyurethane and the spring system consists of metal springs. Automatic tip-up seat with joints in noise-damping nylon. Upholstery in Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System, fabric or velvet, produced entirely by hand with invisible riveting. Installed in series using a metal foot finished with scratchproof and shock-resistant epoxy powder paint.
