Concept and Design

The Isadora chair is inspired by the grace of Isadora Duncan, pioneer of contemporary dance. Created by Roberto Lazzeroni, its original design is shaped by the seamless combination of wood and saddle-leather. The Isadora chair has a solid wood structure. Nevertheless, it traces a sinuous and agile profile thanks to the expert work on its thicknesses. The saddle-leather upholstery totally envelops it and almost appears to fly. Skilful tailored stitching and cuts give it the appearance of a light dress. The sensation is airy yet solid and is the result of expert craftsmanship which, by subtraction, reduces the materials to the bare essentials and exalts their pure beauty. The Isadora chair project offers a highly modern interpretation of the forms of the past.

The Isadora Chair combines visual lightness, material sophistication, and exceptional craftsmanship in a form that makes a lasting impression without ever feeling intrusive. The dialogue between solid wood and saddle leather creates a distinctive balance: on one hand, the structure conveys strength and architectural rhythm; on the other, the enveloping upholstery introduces a softer, almost tailored quality. It is a particularly compelling choice for those seeking an elegant dining chair, a leather-upholstered seat for sophisticated interiors, and a piece of furniture that showcases the beauty of premium materials with remarkable naturalness.

Around a dining table, the Isadora Chair finds one of its most convincing expressions. It is ideal for those looking for designer seating for a contemporary dining room, especially when paired with tables in marble, substantial wood, glass, or other materials with a strong visual presence. In these settings, its slender silhouette helps maintain a sense of visual lightness, while the saddle leather and ash wood add tactile richness and visual depth, making the overall composition feel more refined and personal. It is the perfect chair for those who want a dining room that is elegant, orderly, and welcoming—equally suited to everyday living and special occasions for entertaining.

The Isadora Chair is also particularly appealing to those who appreciate interiors where luxury is expressed through detail rather than excess. The stitching, the precise cuts of the upholstery, and the relationship between the frame and the seat speak to individuals who seek understated yet recognizable elegance, where artisanal craftsmanship is immediately evident but always restrained. In soft-luxury, modern-classic, or contemporary interiors, this chair integrates naturally without appearing overly technical or excessively decorative.

For those who spend considerable time at the table or enjoy entertaining guests, the Isadora Chair offers an appealing balance of comfort and aesthetics. Its construction makes it particularly suitable for long dinners, extended conversations, and hospitality, while maintaining a clean and refined appearance. It is therefore a natural choice for homes where the dining area serves as an important setting for relationships, conviviality, and entertaining.

Its elegant yet understated presence also makes it highly convincing in professional offices, selected meeting rooms, executive environments, and high-end contract settings. In these contexts, the Isadora Chair effectively communicates thoughtful design, authority, and a strong sense of quality. It can be used in refined meeting rooms, professional studios, private dining spaces, or hospitality environments where the furnishings are expected to convey value while preserving visual lightness. The availability of multiple versions, including wider models and armchair variants, further expands its versatility and range of applications.

From a stylistic perspective, this chair resonates with those who appreciate the relationship between material and line, structure and upholstery, craftsmanship and essential form. It is particularly suited to individuals seeking a wood-and-leather chair with a strong yet balanced identity, a design that aligns with sophisticated contemporary interiors, and furnishings capable of maintaining their aesthetic relevance over time rather than following temporary trends.

The Isadora Chair also performs exceptionally well in hospitality and fine-dining environments, where seating must be refined, durable, and capable of contributing to the overall atmosphere of the space. In an elegant restaurant dining room, a private dining area, or a reception environment, it fulfills the need for premium seating that combines comfort, visual appeal, and distinctive design identity. The combination of leather and wood immediately conveys a sense of quality and authenticity.

For those who approach the home as a coherent composition of forms, materials, and proportions, the Isadora Chair represents a particularly thoughtful choice. It is ideal for anyone who wishes to bring character to the dining area without overwhelming it, who seeks a chair that is sculptural yet balanced, and who values a piece capable of engaging gracefully with dining tables, bookcases, wall paneling, and richly textured surfaces.

The Isadora Chair is therefore an especially compelling option for those seeking a sophisticated wood-and-leather seat, a presence around the table that is both light and authoritative, and a piece of furniture that expresses craftsmanship, precision, and timeless beauty.
