The textured surface of the cylinder lends the light a distinctive visual effect. The base of the designer floor lamp, shaped like a truncated cone and 160cm high, is covered in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere Leather available in a range of colors, with contrasting seams and brass metal details.

A bronze touch button is used to turn it on and off, while a modulating dimmer function is used to control the light and adjust its intensity.

Concept and Design

The Nymph designer lamp family designed by Sebastian Herkner is inspired by the namesake female deities of Greek mythology: personifications of nature at the service of humans. Based on the notion of a gentle presence accompanying people’s daily lives, comes a blown glass lamp featuring a finely pleated shade, seemingly floating weightlessly atop the leather-covered base. A button set into the lampshade is an ode to the classic leather “button” characteristic of Poltrona Frau upholstery. When lit, the light transforms into a graceful light sculpture of sorts.
