The solid ash supports have the presence of a geometric sculpture. In contrast, the top is soft and curvilinear, available in light, semi-transparent smoked glass that enhances the architectural solidity of the supports, or in marble in various finishes. A distinctive feature of the Othello table is the wooden structure with a triangular, sharp-edged section, echoed in the diamond-cut detailing along the perimeter of the tops.

Concept and Design

The series of Othello tables is inspired by the meeting of pure and natural materials. The charm of expertly processed wood combined with stone or glass makes all decorations superfluous. With the Othello collection, Roberto Lazzeroni revisits the constructive rigour of 1950s and 60s Italian design.

The Othello round table is designed for those who want an elegant yet naturally welcoming dining area, where the shape of the table itself encourages a more direct and spontaneous way of coming together. The solid ash base, sculpted with clean, architectural geometries, supports a softer, more embracing round top, available in marble or smoked glass. The result is a beautifully balanced interplay between structural strength and visual lightness, allowing the table to become the focal point without making the space feel rigid.

Its round shape makes it particularly suitable for those who value a more fluid and inclusive dining experience. Whether hosting a dinner with friends, enjoying a family lunch or engaging in a long conversation, a round table encourages more direct interaction among everyone seated around it, without pronounced visual hierarchies. The Othello round table is therefore an excellent choice for dining rooms where the quality of social interaction matters as much as the aesthetic value of the furnishings. It is ideal for those who want to make the dining table a place for dialogue, closeness and shared enjoyment, enhanced by a sophisticated design presence.

In residential interiors, the Othello round table works particularly well in intimate yet prestigious dining rooms or in open-plan spaces where the overall composition would benefit from a softer touch. Its circular shape helps break up the rigidity of architectural lines, creating a more harmonious and less austere focal point than a rectangular table. It is therefore suited to those who wish to balance spaces defined by sharp geometries with a softer central furnishing, while maintaining a strong design identity.

The choice of tabletop offers two distinct yet equally sophisticated interpretations. Marble is ideal for those seeking a richer, more precious and tactile presence, capable of adding visual depth to a room and enhancing interiors featuring luxurious finishes, dark woods, leather seating and understated metal accents. Smoked glass, on the other hand, is better suited to those looking for greater visual lightness, particularly when preserving the brightness of a space or making the table feel less imposing within the overall composition is a priority. In both versions, the table retains its sculptural character while changing the way it interacts with light, volumes and surrounding materials.

In terms of style, the Othello round table is particularly well suited to contemporary and soft-luxury interiors, as well as homes that celebrate the interplay between simplicity and rich materials. The ash wood, finished in moka or wengé, the sculptural base and the purity of the materials make it ideal for those seeking a table that conveys design sophistication and refinement without excessive ornamentation. It pairs beautifully with upholstered chairs, statement lighting, understated rugs and interiors in which every element is carefully selected to create a balanced yet memorable composition.

In high-end hospitality and contract projects, the Othello round table is well suited to private dining rooms, exclusive dining areas, elegant lounges and meeting rooms where a more balanced relationship among participants is desired. Its circular form conveys a sense of openness and reciprocity, making it particularly suitable for spaces intended to encourage interaction in a welcoming, less hierarchical setting while maintaining an unmistakable sense of prestige.

In everyday life, this table can become much more than a simple surface for meals. It is ideal for those who want a dining area that remains active throughout the day: for a leisurely breakfast, reading, conversation, occasional work or simply enjoying a beautifully designed space. In this sense, the Othello round table is an excellent choice for those seeking a central furnishing to be used continuously, accompanying everyday domestic life with effortless elegance, natural ease and a distinctive identity.
