Concept and Design

The Fidelio bench, which enriches an already lavish collection, is a seat of great formal purity that allows the intrinsic beauty of the materials to speak for themselves. The warm intensity of the saddle-leather marries with the richness of the solid wood; the elegant folds and visible stitching of the surfaces offset the minimal lines of the base, obtained through the expert and painstaking crafting of the wood.

With the Fidelio bench, designer Roberto Lazzeroni achieves a formal and noteworthy balance. The understated design, the precision of the lines and the consistency of every minimal detail give it a relaxing, calming appearance.

The Fidelio bench, designed by Roberto Lazzeroni for Poltrona Frau, expresses perfect harmony between formal purity and the enhancement of natural materials. Its essential design, characterized by a slight concavity of the seat and a solid ash base crafted with a triangular profile, makes it an extremely versatile and refined furnishing accessory. The leather upholstery, available in multiple colors, enhances its artisanal quality and attention to detail, making the Fidelio bench a meeting point between comfort and style.

This bench finds its ideal placement at the foot of a double bed, adding a touch of elegance and practicality to the sleeping area. Perfect for placing blankets and cushions or as a seat while dressing, it blends naturally into master bedrooms or luxury hotel suites, helping to create a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere. In walk-in closets or dressing rooms, the Fidelio bench offers a comfortable and elegant seat, ideal for moments of relaxation or for easing outfit changes. In an elegant entryway or a spacious hallway, it can serve as a support surface for bags and coats or as temporary seating, enhancing the space with its discreet yet strong personality.

In modern living areas, the bench can function as a multifunctional element: additional seating, a base for books or magazines, or a decorative accent near a feature wall or large window. The Fidelio bench is also perfectly suited to professional studios, high-end boutiques, or home wellness spaces, where the balance between aesthetics and functionality is essential. In a prestigious waiting room, it conveys a sense of hospitality and attention to detail, while in an art gallery or contemporary exhibition space it becomes an element that invites pause and contemplation.

The wide range of finishes and colors allows the Fidelio bench to be customized for luxury contract projects, hotels, lobbies, suites, and minimalist open spaces. Thanks to its solid structure and clean lines, it is also ideal for interiors with natural wood or fine marble flooring, where materials interact with elegance and visual continuity. The choice of leather, stitching, and craftsmanship makes this bench particularly suitable for those who appreciate the value of handmade work and wish to introduce into their home or professional space an object that combines manufacturing tradition with design innovation.

The Fidelio bench is intended for those who value quality, customization, and comfort, and who seek unconventional yet strongly distinctive seating. In interiors with neutral or warm color palettes, it adds depth and warmth, while in bolder spaces it can be chosen in vibrant tones or with contrasting stitching to become a true statement piece. Its versatile presence makes it an ideal solution for both private homes and exclusive contract projects, where every detail makes a difference.
