Fabrics collections

Poltrona Frau’s textile collection is the fruit of continuous, in-depth study of material by the Poltrona Frau Style Centre and its partnership with the most highly qualified Italian and foreign textile manufacturers, such as Loro Piana and Kvadrat. The colour ranges are designed to fit perfectly with a broad colourscape of leather and hide that has been the hallmark of Poltrona Frau worldwide for more than a century.

The Collections

Each collection represents a different world: for the chromatic offer, for the hand, for the touch, and the aesthetic value.

BARKLEY

It is a soft velvet with a satin touch, characterised by tiny dots that look like powder.

BOTÈ

Botè is the jacquard fabric that reworks the drop motif found in Persian tradition.

BOUCLÉ

Bouclé uses a multiend twisted weft yarn, that is, a yarn wrapped around itself and made up of several strands and colours.

DAMIÈ

A simple structure with a chessboard design comprising six full warp colours and seven mixed weft colours.

GABÀN

Refined and eclectic, Gabàn mixes the romantic image of sailor uniforms with the decorative language of Spanish ponchos.

GIANO

Two sides, two colours, two different characters. Giano is a two-colour and two-sided wool, which can be used on both sides.

GUATEMALA

A timeless fabric that is both stylish and not merely a simple canvas, due to its manufacturing process, which enhances the natural brightness of the fibres.

HARUKA

Haruka is the bouclé fabric made through a broad, discontinuous spinning on a plain, unbleached linen canvas.

News

Kalahari

The weave of warp and weft creates a small relief, similar to a rice grain, which enlivens the appearance of this faux fil-à-fil fabric.

LINAIRE

Fine natural-fibre fabric for furnishings, Linaire takes its name from the herbaceous plant, whose leaves are reminiscent of those of linen.

LOOP

Loop is a fabric with a particularly rich and three-dimensional appearance.

MELANGE

A name that underlines the character and design approach used to develop this exclusive and elegant fabric.

MOLLIS

Mollis is a cotton chenille with a fluffy effect.

PALTÒ

Paltò celebrates a typical sartorial theme. It is a simple evocation of the warm, sophisticated haute-couture coats.

PENELOPE

The name of this fabric recalls the “canvas”, which is also the material used for its structure.

RE-STIJL

The first upholstery fabric in the Poltrona Frau catalogue made with post-consumer fibres, Re-Stijl embodies the theme of sustainability.

SHINE

Shine is made from a simple and strong “canvas structure” that combines a weft yarn with an identical warp yarn.

SMOOTH

A classic single-colour fabric with a soft and welcoming appearance, characterised by subtle and refined colours.

News

SURI

A soft and extremely soft bouclé composed mainly of precious Peruvian Alpaca bouclette, which gives life to a textured covering of great refinement.

News

Velvet Tribal

The tribal pattern, designed by Ozwald Boateng, is digitally printed in an intense black tone, in perfect contrast with the four background shades: red, green, purple, and yellow.

TWILL

Designed by Poltrona Frau, it is an essential fabric that expresses a new concept of elegance.

News

Wool Satin

It is an elegant and luminous woolen fabric, fresh and pleasant to the touch. It is obtained from densely woven fine Merino wool satin, for an optimal, soft, and firm drape.
