In the Cercle office chair, ergonomic design is particularly refined. The synchronized mechanism is integrated into the monocoque and further optimized by Poltrona Frau for top comfort performance. The frame is made of polyurethane with a metal insert. The padding is made of polyurethane foam with differentiated density for enhanced comfort areas and quilted with polyester wadding. The polished or black-painted aluminum base has four spokes with swivel glides made of thermoplastic material and a protective Teflon tip. The Cercle office chair features a “return” mechanism that allows the chair to rotate and return to its original position via a thrust bearing. It can be fully upholstered in Pelle Frau® or in a version combining leather on the shell with fabric on the inner surface.

In a changing world, the word ‘sharing’ is a new point of departure for an original approach to the work environment. The series of Cercle office chairs exemplifies this concept starting with its name.

In fact, in Catalan a Cercle is a “circle of people that dialogue with each other”. The project by Lievore, Altherr and Park is perfectly consistent with Poltrona Frau’s new vision of the executive office: forms and ideas that seek to promote relationships and showcase designs that foster working methods more suited to the contemporary manager who works in open spaces, sharing ideas and combining his creative skills with those of his team.

Lievore + Altherr Désile Park is the evolution of the long-standing Barcelona-based studio Lievore Altherr. Working together, the two studios specialize in product design & development, strategic consulting, creative direction, art direction, and ephemeral architecture for internationally recognized design companies such as Arper, Andreu World, Vibia, Noorth, among others.

Their approach develops projects using an established strategy: a creative concept integrating product design and its communication. This holistic approach, humanist character, and the search for the essential in their projects – combined with a sensibility that transmits harmony and balance – characterize the designs of Lievore + Altherr Désile Park.
