Poltrona Frau renews “Atelier dei Saperi” to train the master artisans of the future

02 March 2026

Poltrona Frau presents the second edition of Atelier dei Saperi, its artisanal training program dedicated to passing on the savoir-faire that has defined the brand’s excellence in the world of Made in Italy luxury furniture for over a century.

The program is designed for young people entering the workforce for the first time, as well as for individuals seeking to reskill or reposition themselves in the job market, offering a hands-on learning experience and a concrete opportunity for employment. The initiative reaffirms the company’s commitment to valuing human capital and promoting local employment.

The course includes on-the-job shadowing and practical training sessions within the production departments at the Tolentino facility, the heart of Poltrona Frau’s manufacturing operations. This approach ensures direct exposure to company processes and to the excellence of fine leather craftsmanship.

This second edition features two parallel 250-hour courses dedicated to the Residential Living and In Motion Business Units, involving a total of 10 participants. The program trains Upholstery Operators and Covering Operators, providing specific expertise in high-end upholstery techniques and material processing.

Compared to the first edition, participants were assigned directly to their respective departments and guided by highly qualified internal instructors. The 10-week program concluded with a one-month temporary employment contract, strengthening the link between training and job placement.

With the support of Fondo Forma.Temp and Gi Group, Atelier dei Saperi further reinforces the connection between skills development and professional growth, contributing to the continuity of Italian manufacturing tradition and to the sustainable development of the local community.
