Poltrona Frau announces the appointment of Giovanni Baldi as Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2026. The appointment marks a new phase of international growth for the brand, grounded in strategic continuity and the continued enhancement of an identity built since 1912.

Baldi brings to Poltrona Frau more than 25 years of international experience in the luxury industry. Prior to his new role, he served as President EMEA at Dolce&Gabbana, overseeing the region’s retail and wholesale operations. Previously, he spent more than 20 years at Gucci, holding positions of increasing responsibility across Finance, Regional Management, and Global Business Development.

In his new role, Giovanni Baldi will lead Poltrona Frau into its next stage of evolution by building on the brand’s distinctive strengths: craftsmanship excellence, leather expertise, innovation, and Italian design. At the same time, he will focus on strengthening relationships with clients and partners and developing new opportunities across key international markets.

Giovanni Baldi succeeds Nicola Coropulis, who steps down from his executive responsibilities after 18 years at Poltrona Frau, including 10 years as Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership, the company strengthened its global presence, expanded into new markets, and further established its position as an international benchmark for craftsmanship excellence, innovation, and design culture.

Poltrona Frau recognizes Nicola Coropulis’ pivotal contribution to the company’s growth and transformation. To ensure a smooth transition while preserving established expertise and relationships, Nicola Coropulis will continue to work with the Group as Strategic Advisor, supporting Giovanni Baldi throughout the transition period.
