Poltrona Frau opens a new monobrand store in Beijing
Poltrona Frau continues its expansion in Asia with the opening of a new monobrand store in Beijing, further strengthening its presence in China with a total of 29 points of sale.
Located at No. 101, Shaoyaoju Beili, North Fourth Ring East Road, in the Chaoyang District, the new space spans over 2,000 square meters across two levels. Bringing more than a century of Italian craftsmanship and contemporary design to the Chinese capital, Poltrona Frau establishes a new destination where Eastern and Western cultures meet.
Designed in line with the retail concept developed by AMDL Circle under the direction of Michele De Lucchi, the new Beijing store features a fluid and contemporary layout that guides visitors through an experiential journey across the brand’s collections. The interior design combines refined materials such as resin flooring and black-painted ceilings, creating a sophisticated atmosphere enriched by dedicated areas including a meeting room, home theater, and a walk-in closet equipped with smart systems. The Material Library, inspired by haute couture ateliers, invites guests to a tactile discovery of the brand’s signature materials — the true expression of Poltrona Frau’s savoir-faire.
The store presents a curated selection of Poltrona Frau’s most iconic pieces, from the Vanity Fair XC armchair to the Let it Be sofa, the Archibald bed, and the Brera 90th Anniversary Limited Edition bench. Completing the space are a selection of furnishings from Ceccotti Collezioni, including the iconic Duo Collection designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, the result of the ongoing collaboration between the two brands.
During the opening event, a Poltrona Frau artisan performed a live craftsmanship demonstration, offering guests an exclusive insight into the brand’s artisanal expertise. The ceremony was attended by Nicola Coropulis, CEO of Poltrona Frau, Roberto Palomba, designer, and the local partner Beijing Bona Home Furnishings, together with representatives from Italian institutions, including Cristina Carenza, Minister at the Italian Embassy in China, Counselor Giulio Bolaffi, and Francesco Pensabene, Director of the Italian Trade Commission (ICE).
