A re-interpretation of a simple structure to create a new effect, characterised by a rich, three-dimensional surface. Bouclé uses a multiend twisted weft yarn, that is, a yarn wrapped around itself and made up of several strands and colours. When it is weaved, it creates a threedimensional effect called “bouclé”. The five colour tones were designed and produced by Poltrona Frau and offer an elegant scale of grey shades combined in the warp with warm colours, such as sand and dark brown, and with cold colours, including black, slate-grey and silver. Due to its characteristic, three-dimensional surface, it is best to take care not to pull the Bouclé yarns, as they could come away from the surface. If a yarn is inadvertently pulled, instead of cutting it off, a knot should be tied in it and it should be put under the sur face to stop it from re-emerging. To limit the risk of this happening, the fabric has been treated on the back with a process that holds all the yarns firmly in place without jeopardising their softness and comfort. The fabric is highly resistant to wear.
